Headpin:  A headpin is a simple jewellery finding that is a straight wire with a flat end or sometimes with an ornate end to keep the bead from sliding though.

Eye Pin: Eye pins have the same basic function as a headpin, but instead of a flat or ornate end, there is a loop that allows you to ad an additional dangle piece to it.
